which head gasket and timing belt for b20vtec?
hey guys i have a 00 b20z motor and i am putting my 94 gsr head on it. what head gasket and timing belt do i need? i searched and i only see people with bigger bores and stuff. i have a stock b20z block. anyone know? only answer if your 100% sure. thanks a lot
you need to get the timing belt depending on the water pump you use...
ls water pump(19t)=ls t belt
vtec water pump(22t)=gsr timing belt
ls water pump(19t)=ls t belt
vtec water pump(22t)=gsr timing belt

no, it is not.
if you are going to rev past 7000 you need a 22 tooth (VTEC) water pump or you will probably overheat your engine.
you need a VTEC belt witha the VTEC pump.

Guaranteed your b20vtec wont last long if you stick with stock non-vtec oil pump.

no - i am actually talking about the water pump.
i think that the B20Z shares the same oil pump as the B18CR anyways, so you are wrong.
