that post makes absolutely no sense.

you're talking about pre-94s, then you say something about a 96.

hahaha your right..i meant...i dont know if i believe that he got it out of a 96 gsr, bc it looks different then most gsr motors do...but that could be bc of the valve cover was filed down, the block still says b18c1...does that confirm it is 94+ or are all gsrs b18c1's?

Alright, let me get this straight so you bought a car and the owner says it has a 94+ b18c1 motor in it. You see that the valve cover has been shaved and want to confirm that it is definetly a 94+ motor. You know that the block is atleast a b18c1 due to the stamping near the tranny.

To identify the year of the motor or atleas the year of the head you have to look at the casting stamps above the exhaust ports or where the header flange meets the head. Here are some pictures to help you see where the stamps are and how to read the numbers.

whoa watch out with the name calling. the reason why you see people getting mad, is because it seems like you didnt read the rules of this forum. read carefully, and you should understand.

I'm not a "***," I just don't understand jibberish from people that slept through most of their K-12 English classes.
