A/C question please help. Its gettin hot in FL
Hi, i have a 96 civic with a 98 B18c1. My stock A/C compressor went bad before i did the swap so we decided to take out the A/C when doing the swap. I'm finally getting it put back in and im wondering if this will work. Remember, i dont have my stock compressor. I dont have that delsol vtec A/C bracket either, and its $125. But i have the stock gsr compressor bracket. Can i just buy a B-series A/C compressor from a 99+ civic Si? The only thing i have missing from my a/c setup is the compressor. WIll i also need Si ac lines??

Yes. You can use the bracket and compressor. The lines will need to be custom made. You will need to have the two lines spliced together.

Also you will need to buy a brand new dryer receiver bottle, because after sitting with no charge or vacuum on them, they turn to **** and your A/C will not blow as cold as it should.
I'd also buy a new expansion valve too. It's located in the evap box.
I recently had A/C installed in my 1990 hatch, and I got the new dryer bottle and expansion valve, and my A/C blows 32 degrees when it cycling!
