b20 si with b16 vtec head????
hey im looking to build a b20 vtec for my 90 lude si ive been doing some reaserch and i think i found a legit stock like vtec conversion by useing my b20 block but takeing a b16 vtec head and some wireing harnesses a thicker head gasket and domed pistons teamed with a t3/t4 turbo running 14lbs boost kicking 3.5 k - 7.0 k should produce a formatable b20 si - vtec turbo hitting low 12's just by takeing advantage of the natural low compression of a b20 please tell me im not crazy

it can be done,ludespeed,com had a write up of his setup and he modded the head gasket somewhat you should take a look, he dynod his at almost 200whp wich is most impresive on the b20a motor considering stock is 143hp its not a easy project
you will have to make sure of valve clearances and i think you might have to use the civic pistons im not sure tom at ludespeed has his old writeup on his site any more you can e-mail him with questions , a guy on prelude power.com done it also his name is low 12s do a search on that site fore him then e-mail him with your questions.it can be done you just have to know what to do.

Just be careful... alot of B20 buildups like that are talking about using a B20 out of a CR-V and the B16 head off of an Si Civic... I'm not sure if the B20 used in the lude was different or not than the CR-V

they are much different...the only b20 talking about the old preludes i ever heard was ludespeed...i didnt realize he got it running to the sound of 200whp.

fyi the b21 a5 runs through the spectrum of a 1 to a5 a 4and a5 are euro versions
b21 equals out to a 2.05 the b21 a1 is an american 2.0 si a b21 a4 is a euro 2.0si-r moter the b21 a5 is a euro package swap comes with a si -r moter and type r tranny hence there is a b21 a 5 just do some reaserch beafore you cloud my topic
