You can run whatever you want without an intercooler.

Is it recommended though? No...

Personally I would not boost at all without an intercooler. At least use a side mount.

Definately get an intercooler, it will save you lots of trouble in the long run

i had one but it was shitty and i blew the end cap off. All i want to know is if it would be okay for like a day or two . I'm only hitting like 5 psi at the most right now. And I would be driving it mostly on the interstate tonight.

I wouldn't boost 1psi without one. Trust me, i've boosted without an intercooler. I have no idea WTF I was thinking. Don't do it, like others said, at least pick up a sidemount. They are surprisingly good for big #s.
