dohc vtec solenoid. any way to convert JDM one to 2 wire?

and even then you only need one wire since you can ground that switch to the head as well..

so the jdm pressure switch only has one wire?
only reason I am asking is because my vtec isn't working with a USDM ecu. I have a JDM motor.

hmm i have seen a few jdm motors that dont come with vtec pressure switches on the motor because they are built into the ECU. when i had a jdm itr swap it didnt come witha oil pressure switch i had to go to acura and buy one. but i could have used a jdm ecu with no problems but i wanted to use the usdm ecu.

so thats what I need. can you post a picture of it?

You can use the jdm one without a problem. Just use a helms and find the to pin locations where the pressure switch and solenoid come into the usdm ecu, then run a jumper wire between them.
At least thats what is done with mine and it works perfectly.
No reason to buy usdm vtec stuff, or any other parts honestly.

You should of stated your problem correctly. You were talking about the solenoid when you really ment that there was no vtec pressure sensor(switch).
problem was, I didn't know what my problem was.
there is a vtec pressure switch. vtec just doesn't work with the usdm ecu.

wire it up temporarily to a switch.. or you can connect a multimeter or led to the vtec signal wire and see if the ecu gives out a signal..
this way you can see if its the ecu or something on the engine thats not working properly..

Byron, if you still can't troubleshoot it......you can always do VTEC-Killers

nope.
my guess is the ECU is bad.
I am waiting for some local friends of mines to let me test their ECU on my car
*cough* *cough*

found out the chipped p28 ECU is shitty. Its a real p28 and its chipped but when I compared it to Cre18's p28, I have a few resistors missing
Looks like it was never there.
Used his ECU and BAM! vtec hit.

damn that shop and them giving you that wack *** ecu....
it did seem weird to me that i was able to interchange my usdm ecu with my girls jdm ecu....

word... they 'said' it will be resolved. I just need to drop it off to take care of the other issues.
