Default Revhard with bunch of other goodies, but are the goodies necessary?

Hey there. I've done some research into FI for my 95 GS-R and I've found a kit that I like. But I don't know too much about some of the other goodies he wants to sell me. Assuming that I will never up the boost, are these goodies necessary or "nice" to have with this setup running either .4 bar (5.75 psi) or .5 bar (7.2 psi). It will be tuned to be reliable. I realize boost and reliable are oxymoron's when we are talking Honda's, but... Fuel management will be taken care of by AEM EMS or Hondata.

1) Missing Link Check Valve

2) RC Engineering 310cc Injectors

3) MSD Sport Compact Ignition & MSD Distributor Cap & MSD Blaster 2 Coil

I'm pretty sure from what I've read that a Missing Link is always nice to have.

The Injectors, I'm not sure about. The RevHard kit doesn't come with upgraded injectors so why would I need them? Would it be an extra precaution or something?

I've also read that Ignition is a good thing to have when boosting. But if I'm only running 7 psi do I really need it?

In case you haven't figured out, I'm trying to "value engineer" the kit and bring the price down a bit.

1) You won't need a missing link with hondata/Ems
2) you'll need bigger injectors, besides im sure youll grow enough courage to tune to 9-10 psi by the time it comes. Either way dont get the 310cc injectors
3) For your goals an Ignition is not necesarry.

Ideal setup would be 550cc Rc's/hondata and 9-10 psi

If your determined to keep the boost low, im sure some 440cc's would be fine.

Okay. Thank you.

I assume that is because the 310 are just slightly bigger than stock hence a waste of money, is that correct?

For what goals would an ignition become necessary? At what horsepower level?

The boost will stay low because I don't want to spend the money to make it faster. But if you think that 550cc would improve my reliability then I'm all for 550cc.

Okay, did a little more research. Going with the 550s because they are only like $20 extra.

Still trying to figure out about the ignition. So far, I've read that you have to retard the timing without upgraded ignition, but with ignition you don't have to retard.

True or untrue?
