Noob here
ive heard this is a problem because vtec blocks have holes, for lack of a better word, which let extra oil in when vtec engages. nonvtec blocks dont have this. dont take my word for it, this is just what my friend was telling me when he wanted to put a vtec head on his h23 prelude. f22's could be different. i do know people who have made vtec b18's from nonvtec integras though so i guess its the same principle.
