Default CTR cams on turboed GSR?? anyone?

anyone got CTR cams on GSR turbocharged with low CR pistons? i've put them on my civic with GSR motor and turbo, i hear knocking in 1500rpm till 2500rpm, then it's fine from 2500 till 4000rpm, i'm affraid to go more....
i didn't have any problem with the stock cams...
tired to adjust the cam gears, but still i hear the detonation..!!!

try running your car without the ctr cams. i heard that they are too agressive for your setup. try to stock gsr cams and you should be fine

Take your car to a pro shop to iron out the wrinkles. Save you time and money in the long run. good luck hope you figure out the problem.

but i've heard that the CTR cams are the best for turbo set up!! i got skunk2 valve springs and retainers also in my B18C (GSR) cylinder head, i was thinking of revving above 8000rpm....

i said maybe if i get B16A cylinder head and put all the stuff in, it would work better!!! cause CTR/ITR cams were made for the PR3 cylinder head and not P72!
as everybody know, there are big difference between both heads....

anyone tried skunk2 turbo cams?

I didn't want to start another thread since we're on the subject of CTR camshafts.
Will the b17a exhaust cam shaft be ok in combination of the CTR intake camshaft?

Specs of my motor are in my sig.

I couldn't find the specs on the CTR intake cam shaft, but here are the b17a exhaust cam shaft specs:

Intake opening (BTDC) 10
Intake closing (ABDC) 40
Intake duration 230
Exhaust opening (BBDC) 40
Exhaust closing (ATDC) 7
Exhaust duration 227
Overlap 17
Intake valve lift (mm) 10.6 (.417")
Exhaust valve lift (mm) 9.4 (.370")

calib17a, i've got AEM EMS, but haven't install it yet, waiting to paint the car first then i'll work on it.... but as for now, i wanna adjust the cam gears with stock ecu so i don't get problems when i use EMS....
the problem is that there is no tuner in where i live (Bahrain, Middle East), no dyno machines... so i'll be doing all this by my self.....
