Default friend has oil coming out of exhaust port on wastgate

ok my friend just finished his turbo setup yesterday and we went for a ride and everything was running real good. until we got home and saw smoke coming out from under hood. we found oil all over wastegate and manifold area. took us 20 min to figure out he forgot to put the dipstick back in!!!! we put it back in and have to put all new oil back in (4 quarts) go for another ride and there is still oil coming from out of the wastegate. we thought it was left over residue and dried it all up and let it sit over night. he goes for a drive today and same thing more oil coming out of wastegate. we cant figure out why there is oil coming out of the wastegate. i know the wastegate is good because i used it a couple of months back and i had no problems out of it and when i took it off to give back to him it hasn't been used since yesterday.

edit** we did a compression test and got 180 180 180 180 on 9:1 compression

any ideas?

oil isn't going to dry up if u let it sit... it needs to burn off.

sounds to me like its just still burning off.

do u have pics?

both... not only does oil burn out of the wastegate but you can see actual residue dripping out of the wasteate dump side. there isno dump tube right now so its really noticable. i can not figure it out for anything. i was hoping someone had seen or experienced this before and could tellme what it was hoping it was soething stupid we were overlooking

the only place oil could come from is the exhaust ports... does the motor burn oil?

i hope not. he just finished getting the motor put back together. the same guy that put my motor together put his together and mine runs just fine. he has similar setyup except i have je 9:1 pistons and he has arias 9:1 pistons. he broek the motor in with no turbo and it didnt burn any oil at all. now that hes trying to boost oil is now appearing out of thin air. i hope =we can find out what it is. hopefully something stupid that we are overlooking

thought about that but if the motor wasntleaking or burning oil when being broken in theresno reason for it to do itnow just becasue the turbo is on. any other opinions?

Could the seals on the turbo be bad?

if theres literally oil coming out of the wastegate in liquid unburned form you must be leaking a shitload of the stuff. Pull the plugs, if there all dry pull the manifold and check the exhaust valves for signs of leaking oil. If it's a leaking valve seal it's no big deal.
