Valve seal leaking? Could it do any turbo damage?
So I finally got the honda started after 3 months of storage and decided to bring it home so I can work on it. So I drive home and the car doesnt sound right, didnt expect it to, but it sounded exactly like a WRX with an exhaust.
So I let it run for awhile, get all the funk out of it.
Fast forward to today and I put it in its resting spot in the garage. I flick the light on and notice oil by the wastegate. So I take the wastegate off and the inside of the manifold has a decent amount of oil in it.
So I tear apart the shiz and notice oil in the exhaust housing and the on blade and the downpipe.
I assume its my valve seal thats the cuplrate, but would the oil cause damage to the turbo. I doubt it, since I only drove it like .6miles, but I dont know how long its been leaking.
Its the port on the left that is extra dark with oil, the rest are fine.
Heres the oil on the blades

Thats more than likely your turbo not valve seals, if the car still runs let it run for a minute and check all the plugs and see if they are wet etc.. does the car smoke on start up?

what he said. If it was your valve seals, the oil would get burned through the turbo and your exhaust, not leak out of it.
I recently had to rebuild my turbo as I had quite a smoke screen behind me when I got on it and I could see oily residue all around the center of the turbo.
I sent it to Majestic Turbo.
