brake light came on the dash board

not exactly it also comes on if the brake fluid level is low as others have stated.. check the fluid..
if everything is ok then maybe you didnt connect those wires on the cap of the master cylinder and now they are touching..

it must have to be lower than hell then. i have never had that light come on in any of my hondas except for when the e-brake was on. if i get a chance i will look in my helms because i'm not feelin that.

Yeah, it's true. E-brake light is the indicator for low brake fluid AND the E-brake being engaged. It doesn't have to be that low for it to come on.

you better make sure the fluid level is full because apparently it doesn't have to be that low to trigger the sensor.

Same thing for the handbrake switch. It closes the circuit to light the light. That thing can get bent or something, so even when the lever is down, the switch is still closed. It might be as simple as bending the bracket back where it belongs.
