Help, Should I sell my car?? Auto tranny not fun
I am stuck here, my car is getting painted this weekend, I have a new hood, Z3 fenders, front and back spoilers + skid skirts by erubini. Spoiler.. window tint. The car will look amazing.. But it is an automatic LS.. the car isnt fast, its not the slowest car but its nothing to brag about to anyone. I cant decide if I should but a turbo in it and make use of the LS motor. But I will need to upgrade my auto tranny with a shift kit and getting a stall converter OR I could convert my car to a manual (??? heard of this???)
Or just give up on that and sell the car making some money and putting it towards a nice 98+ GSR 5speed.

well a hassle free decision is to sell then buy a GSR
but you can go fast in the Auto. The Torque converter will help. Also a 50 shot of nitrous would help too.

dude, people on here will talk **** about autos all day...but the funny thing is, is that ive seen built auto ls's walk on modded gsr's all day at the track. i know i know.. it MUST have been driver cause no one wants to believe that a auto ls can beat a gsr well believe it. hell my old auto ls beat SI's when it was damn near stock. its how you build it bro i stick non vtec.. for the same reason we buy small engine cars to beat big engine cars.. for satisfaction... yea a stock gsr beat me when i was stock, now i laugh when a gsr guy talks ****.. then when we race and he hears how high my motor revs he swears its a gsr till i pop the hood.. then there like damn

isnt the car really supposed to help you get from point a to b?
how fast do you really care to go these days? if you want to pour more money down a car that's depreciating, go for it. Maybe you should consider getting a different car entirely if youre not satisifed with the integra as is.
I see more folks dissatisfied with the things they have each day.

I understand, somedays ill be driving and say you know i like this car, it isnt some beater, it goes to point a to b and it does it nice while looking good as hell.
but then some days i say, dammit this automatic isnt quick or fun
I dont plan on racing but ever since I rode in a fast car i want to go fast sometimes
I will probaly sell my car and get a gsr eventually... as of now ill leave the engine stock.

sell it , unless is a grand national or a supra twin turbo auto or even and old chevy, i would not waste my energy on a auto ,it takes all the fun and skill of driving in a race . when u race driving plays a big part , shifts ,launching clutching takes skill and time to learn . and PEOPLE THAT HATE ON VTEC , IS CAUSE THEY DONT HAVE ONE .i would never settle for less i hate hearing about those non vtec guys hating on vtec is becoming a trend .

Not all non VTEC guys hate on VTEC cars. I have a non VTEC and I recently drove a lightly modded RSX type S and it pulls. When VTEC engages...whoa baby!! But he non VTEC engines have their place too, lower compression, slightly bigger block. When built right a non VTEC engine will be very potent whether it be N/A or FI.
Decide what you want out of the car. Will it be a daily driver? Do you just want to be FAST! You could always just do a tranny swap if the motor is till clean. Or have levelten help you out with your auto tranny. there's always FI if you want to go fast.

i agree if it will be a daily driver then maybe stick to it and leave it the way it is after the paint job...for now atleast...then just save up and get a newer car that you dont have to really fix up or just get a car thats alittle faster
it just seems like your gonna spend a lot of money and time just so you can get the car the way you want it...i say save and invest in a newer acura or honda (like an rsx or si)
