Sup tegra nation i have a 95 ls automatic yeah i know automatic sucks but watcha gonna do the car has a few basic bolt ons but HOW do u race an automatic?DO I start in first and move my way up to D4 or what help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

uhm.......leave it in d4, i dunno dude, if i were you. sell the car and get a manual tranny, and most ricers shift with an automatic. but whatever you wanna do just have fun and be safe

 

if I were u, I'd use D3...dunno why but it seems faster than D4 in accelerating

 

Put it in N (stands for NOS) and floor it.

 

Get a shift kit, a stall convertor, and a transcooler. Then you launch a little higher. And use the man/auto capabilities to there fullest. Probably the best thing you can do is beef up the auto tranny a bit and manually shift it.

get rid of the automagic and do a manual trans conversion

 

neutral......rev to rpm of 2-3k rpm....and green light pull all the way down to gear 1 and hit the gas.....when hit redline shift up to 2, then 3....

or put on gear 1 then hold down brake....rev ur engine to 2-3k rpm when green light start...let the brake go...slow push more gas ...

you need to do this yourself to get the mod going, make sure it doesn't over spin your tires out....

all that and a transmission brake to make your reaction that much quicker.
