Default BUilt Block pass smog? ( Cali people come on in)

IM leaning towards getting a 1995 d16z6 out of a wrecked ex civic. My cars a 1995 civic cx and i want to get the motor Bar'ed, Might not need to since its a single cam and smog tech might let it pass, but I want to buy the compelte d16z6 and get it fully built block (pistons, rods the whole thing ) for turbo setup on the street. I want to know if i were to build the block if i would have a hard time passing the BAr exam? ALot of u might be saying, "well u cant pass smog with a turbo setup stupid " but i got a plan. FIrst i am gonna get the motor BAr'ed then put the turbo kit on silly and if i get caught i jsut bull **** the cop saying the whole setup is bar'ed . Anyways if anyone has good information on this let me know thenks.

If you build it it might or might not pass, it depends on alot of things.

But if it is just the block the compression ratio will play the biggest role. The lower the cr the harder it will be to pass it.

Also if you can find someone to lend you a CARB legal turbo kit, it will say that on your BAR sticker they give you.

hey i never knew that on the Bar sticker it would state i got a turbo kit as well, thanks for letting me know, something for me to think about as well
Notes: Get stock d16z6 swapped, turbo'ed completly stock, BAr'ed at state referee
Get sticker, remove turbo kit, build the whole swap, and install built engine

BAR STICKER is for GREDDY TURBO from GREDDY not from STATE ITSELF.
You can easily pass smog with a greddy sticker because the person doing the inspection isn't going to know.

Passing smog with built block shouldn't be so hard. Just use all the stock emmissions. My friend pass with his lower comp and another with 10:1 passed no problems. Use stock mufflers etc.
