Default 1999 Theft recovery question

There is a 1999 Integra theft recovery in town that I might be able to get my hands on. The engine bay appears to be complete so I was wondering if the 1.8l engine in that car is of any use to someone trying to do an engine swap? On the same topic, does anyone know of a list of all the USDM Hondas & which has what engine/tranny? Thanks again!

Do you know what kind of integra it is? There are different motors for the integra, so you need to find out which motor it is.

All it says is 1.8L L4 PFI DOHC 16V. I cant really tell off the pictures what the model is and the place tends to be not all that helpful. Is there an easy way to check?

Go to the place and look at the car. Open the hood, and look on the block. It will tell you. It will say B18... either B1,C1, or C5.

If its a 1.8L engine, you've got yourself an LS engine. No VTEC, but good tq. to turbo. If it WAS a GS-R you can look for the VTEC badge on the back of the car. I'm not all too sure, but don't some GS-r's trim come with a VTEC side molding on the front fenders, or is that just JDM? Anotehr way is too look up the VIN. That'll tell you. Not sure about DC VIN's tho.

What does the 1.8l have to do with anything? They are all 1.8l. And since it was a theft recovery, I highly doubt it would have any kind of badging on it.

Not trying to ignore anyone seems Im limited to 5 posts per day .

Teamsol - in order to get in you have to pay the $300 or so membership fee, they are REAL picky about everyone having a badge to get through the door.

My father has a dealer membership so he took was down there yesterday. It went for $1100 wich was a little rich for my blood considering I just wanted the engine for my CRX. I am still interested in a list of which cars had what engines in them, anyone seen something like that floating around?
