Default Need opinions JDM H22a or USDM/JDM GSR

Hey guys I am ready to swap into my 92 Civic CX Hatch I'm just not sure what? At one point I was 100% sure that I was leaning towards the a JDM h22a now I'm leaning towards either a USDM/JDM GSR which is around the same price as a JDM h22a and install would be easier on a GSR. Emissions doesn't mean crap to me since I live in Quebec and we don't have a board. My dilema is everyone has a gsr swap and hardly anyone have h22's is it worth the hardship of the installation and go for the h22 or just build a gsr? Any info would be nice. If not mistaken can some ppl correct me. H22 in CX Hatch around 13.6-14.0 with a pretty good driver what does a gsr run?

All the info you need for eg/ek h22 swap.

Anyone? I'm so confused... cuz now I see ppl swaping out their gsr's for h22's. H22's and boost don't got together that well at first (non-sleeved) but 2.2l vs 1.8l and after seeing the h22 turbo hatch in one of the meets it makes you think of the possibilities.

I want to say a GSR hatch can run high 13's to mid 14's. of course, one of my good friends never got better than a 14.9 in his hatch. (don't quote me on the numbers, I'm just trying to help you out a little as best I can since no one else has)

I dont have a H22 cx, but my buddy does. He bought a JDM front clip from a local import shop. The swap went fine and the car pulled great. Although, 14.0- 13.9 may be a little high, im not sure cuz it hasn’t been ran yet. The reason it hasn’t been to the track is because he had the good fortune to find a stray curb in a parking lot at 30 mph. The h22 hangs pretty low and the curb basically cracked the transmission bell housing, oil pan, and header. Not to mention bending the transmission mount and all the other damage he did. The car has been up on jack stands for the past 7 months. You might want to look into the reliability of the h22 transmission as well. Currently my buddy’s refused to shift properly, and anything over 8000 rpms is unthinkable. But when its running, it’s a force to be reckoned with.

P.S. your gona want to buy axles for the h22

Axles I'm thinking Accord intermidiate shift w. integra ends for now then next summer either hasport, dss stage 2, enjo stage 2 axles considering this cost 1/4 of the price of a swap if I swap h22.

i have an h22 eg which used to be 2.3 vtec but blew up so now im just h22 with type s pistons and some headwork. i have ran this so hard with bfg's and the axels seem to hold up just fine. but the h22a is worth it. my friend has a guted gsr crx and i blow him away very easy.
