Default Rear struts and LCA attachment help

I have a 91 si hb, I ordered the illumina kit for it and the rear struts are definately different than the stock ones. On the stock LCAs the struts are male and the lca recieve them internally (female) with a bolt running through. The new struts I received look like they should use a narrower lca that fits inside of the mounting point on the strut assembly. If anyone has any experience with this particular problem Id like to know whats up. Im thinking they sent me the struts for a crx si, since they use disc brakes and potentially different LCA's. THanks

Matt

maybe you have an 88, or 88 lcas for some reason.

to me, it sounds like you are describing the front suspension and the rear struts. i'm utterly confused.

No the ones you are describing sound like the ones they sent me, but it sounds like I may have different lca's then I should. Ill check it out again, but right now the lca's have a gap that recieve the strut.

sounds like they are for 88's that use a eye instead of a fork. Easy fix get lca for a 88.

88 uses an "eye" dampers, and a stamped LCA, with the damper fitting inside a "seat" of the LCA. your car should have cast LCA with a bolt hole, and dampers "grasping" the LCA.
either someone switched your LCA to "JDM" 88 or ITR LCA or you are confused about the year of your car.
return the dampers and get 88 or ITR dampers

since I was planning on replacing the rear brakes with 93 integra discs, should that LCA be cast and accept the strut that I have now, the fork shaped one?
