on the track...still can't get any traction...only got two runs because of shitty V8s breaking down all nite long...best i could do was a 2.388 60ft time...is this what other turbo honda's are running too??? im running some no name street tires but my friend is running street tire michelins busting low 2.2s and some 2.1 60ft. times with a NOS'd GSR...im killing him on the top end but my e.t.s SUCK! i run a 2.388 60ft. and a 14.503 e.t. with a 99.98 trap speed...
i tried to slip the clutch and get going which works perfect on the street, at the track i got wheel hop bad (i lifted and then hit it again with the same result so i pretty much just stayed in it)...then i shifted into 2nd gear and i literally spun ALL the way thru 2nd...i can put it to you this way...i was racing a car that ran a 15.2 but he was about a half a car in front of me at the top of 2nd gear! when i shifted into third it was almost comical how i pulled away but why can't i get it to hook up!!! the next run i let it bog and that wasn't a good idea...2.56 60ft.
now to the REALLY bad part of my nite...on the way home i cruised the WHOLE way (i forgot to mention my car was overheating like a bitch!)...when im almost to my destination after about a 35min. drive some dude is sticking on my *** like glue, so i hazard him, wave him on and even tap on the brakes to get him to go around with no luck...at this point i get pissed off...so i move over slow WAYYY down and he finally goes by, but i wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine and i get up about 10ft. from his bumper and drop the hammer and get up next to him and let off...next thing i know... JOHNNY LAW! on my *** in a matter of seconds. i didn't even see where he was...then, i get a ticket 74 in a 55...then i get another ticket for expired tags (my car had been sitting for over 6 months), THEN i get a ticket for driving on a suspended license (insurance mix up comes to find out)...then i found out today that i HAVE no insurance and my agent is out of business with and left no record of my policy...so pretty much im fuct and they will probably take my license and stick me in jail when i have to go to court...my driving record alreay consist of 4 tickets in the past 2 years!!! i feel about as bad as anyone could ever feel...i even called out sick..........
damn, well im gonna go run my car in a wall or something...later.

For the first part, have you heard of slicks??

The second part is kinda your fault, you should know if you have insurance. Sounds like the cops in your area don't care too much for imports. That makes it even more important to drive "normal" on the streets.

i don't know what car you have but 100 mph is good for 14.0 in a hatch. invest in some drag radials. they last at least a year, aren't too bad in turns....well, i'm a little optimistic about that.... but, for 200 bux you'll have 2.0-2.1 60fts easy. maybe an occasional 1.9. don't forget to rape the clutch out odf the hole too.

 

damn dude...i know i fuct up and yeah i have heard of slicks but i wanted to run some good times on street tires too, oh well i guess that won't happen...what you expect my tickets are gonna run me??? 200 bux's? 150 bux? the insurance thing really got my by suprise...later.

i have a 92 integra with the b17a...BEFORE the turbo i could turn 2.2s all day long...i ran a few 2.1s too

i had run at both...last friday @ richmond best 60ft. was like a 2.394...at dinwiddie it was the 2.388...it's not the track dude...it's me...i could drive the hell out of my old GS-T and my old VW corrado...even the integra when it was pretty much stock...only aem, adjustable cam gears and driver seat, spare and tools out ran a 14.8! i just can't seem to get the hang of this turbo gsr yet...i do think that dinwiddie has a much better track for most but i havent gotten to a point where i can really say that with this car...

 

the thing is your mph is kind low for a t3/t4

 

ya think so? well my gearing is kinda funny...im usually bouncing off the rev limiter when i cross the finish line...no use shifting into fourth gear since im so close to the finish...i may try going back to the gsr transmission...id be shifting into 4th @ around 84mph instead of 100 or so...what kind of trap speeds should i be running with 6.5-7psi of boost????

 

you should be in 4th across the finish. if not then your not utilizing the full power that your motor is producing. change you gearing.

before i turboed my car i ran 13.6 @100 stock h23 motor and 50 shot of nos on slicks with out slicks i ran 14.1@100mph

 

well i'll put the gsr tranny back in this week and run it again on friday and see what happens...i was thinking that i would be able to capitolize on the turbocharger by having it in boost longer without having to shift as much...i used my eclipse as my only test bed with turbo cars but that car has more midrange power than this car...i was just thinking that id be in and out of gears with the gsr tranny...anyway i'll see...later.
