Hit the track, LMK what you think
So i took my car out to boti yesterday. It was my first time out at the track with it since its been boosted. I had a ton of fun, didnt reach my goal of a 12.5, but did better than what i expected.
My setup is a k24, built bottom end, GT35r on 10lbs. RSX-s stock tranny.
400whp 276wtq revving to 8k
My car weighed in at 2730 with me in it (200lbs).
I was running on some no name brand 195 55 15 street tires, open diff, stock clutch still lol, launching from second gear at ~1500 rpms, and shifting into 5th about 3/4's down the track.
I entered Street Comp class, and didnt qualify for the top 8, (wasnt expecting to). So then i jumped in the quick 16 at literally the last minute and qualified for that. Ended up making it all the way to the top 4 running 12.7's all day and got eliminated by r/t.
All in all i was pretty pumped and had a blast all day long. Heres some slips
60' - 2.436
330 - 6.029
1/8 - 8.674
MPH - 95.07
1000 - 10.884
1/4 - 12.726
MPH - 123.28
60' - 2.419
330 - 6.061
1/8 - 8.727
MPH - 94.95
1000 - 10.942
1/4 - 12.785
MPH - 123.42
60' - 2.542
330 - 6.141
1/8 - 8.762
MPH - 96.08
1000 - 10.955
1/4 - 12.785
MPH - 124.05
60' - 2.535
330 - 6.171
1/8 - 8.800
MPH - 95.88
1000 - 10.989
1/4 - 12.815
MPH - 124.22
Next time i go back to the track ill have a Twin disc in with more power.. and hopefully slicks LOL

If i had some bigger/better tires, and a lsd i think i could been down in the 2.2 range and cut a lot of time off..
but it was still fun, and i did better than expected for my first time out

Having fun is what it's all about!
Launch in 1st gear and learn to control your right foot(power)
Your 60fts should become better with more power, not worse!
Learn to control it and you'll be running 12.3-4's

It may not have been the fastest day ever, but at least you're consistent. If you bring those 60' times down, you'll easily clip an 11 sec. Good luck

nice traps man, yeah get some slicks and launch that thing and you should well surpass your goal. no offense but Im not sure why people go for high hp and forget that one of the biggest issues is getting that power to the ground. Its like those 1200whp turbo civics that have to detune and lower whp because no way of grounding that spaceship. sure youll beat me to the moon, but down here on planet earth, I have slicks so I win. lol
goodluck man keep us updated with slick runs.

without a doubt. i trap 124 and use an act 6 puck and xtreme pp!
get those slicks/clutch and never look back!
also 27xx weight isnt your friend. might even be worth it to take out seats and other nonsense for the runs.

yes sir! Funny thing is that this clutch/pressure plate has been through 1 year of use n/a making 230/190 with about 15 passes and about 15k miles of dd,ing and doing pulls n stuff, now its been boosted for about 5 months ~10k miles of dd'ing and a ton of pulls with 9 passes, and its still holding!! im kinda anxious to see what it looks like when i pull it out lol.
yeah i havent done much weight reduction on the coupe, all i did was take out the rear seats. Its an EM1 and i weigh 200lbs.

Actually, the K24 might have enough overall torque to make that 2nd gear launch work on street tires given how short the Type-S 2nds are (not sure if he has the 4.3 or 4.7 final drive). Wouldn't be much different than a lot of RWD cars which have 1st gears that extend into the 55-60 mph region.
