I recently bought a 1985 crx. But it wont run or even start at all, I turn the key...and nothing happens. It doesnt even click over or buzz. My hazard lights turn on but thats about it. I tried jump starting it, and it sounds like it "wants" to run, but then dies. ANy suggesions or thoughts to what could be wrong? I think I need a new eginition but Im not sure. Nothing is missing from the engine either. I just want to know exactly whats wrong before I put any money into fixing it. I just want my damn car to run! thanks.

 

First it sounds like you need a new battery, second it sounds like the car is not getting enough fuel. Check the fuel filter (if this car is injected) and check the fuel pump.

 

I did and the filte ris a little dirty but is still good. When I try to push start it, I can smell the gas being injcted into the block and I can hear the pistons WANT to move but then dies out after about a second.
