Wastegate actuator question! *PIC*
I adjusted my boost using the rod connected to the wastegate actuator, I turned up the boost a little by turning the rod toward the actuator, but now I am not holding boost very well. I will be running like 8 psi, and then a few min later its at like 4 psi.

This the rod I'm talking about, it comes off the actuator and then latches onto the turbo. I took if off, loosened the nut, and turned the rod a few times toward the acuator. Does anyone know what is wrong, or what I can do??? Any help is great, thanks.

Your loss of pressure could be triggered by any of the connections in your system not able to contain up to 8psi without unseating, or it could be that the stock WG diapragm starts to expand till it warps as the compressor radiates more heat. Both situations can be tested for next to nothing. Tighten all of your clamps a few more turns first and if all else fails, consider an external WG or an alternate means of boost control.
Hey, might be a manifold crack somewhere...

Thanks for the reply. I would like to just get it set at 7 psi and stay there, and then I won't be adjusting anymore. I just want to make sure that adjusting the rod should not cause a problem, and other people use this method as well.
