ok, my friend and I were just talking about when an exhaust is too big. He has a 91 240sx with the KA24. Stock exhaust dia. is like 2-2.25in. If he were to go to a 3 in. exhaust, would that take away from performance with an NA engine?

 

most of the time when people go 3 inches is when they are turbo and they want no back pressure what so ever.. i believe on an NA engine you want some back pressure...i could be wrong though

 

For Honda's the highest you want to go NA is 2.5" For a nissan i would go 2.75" I think 3 is to big for a NA car but i dont know if its not for nissan. Just my .02

2.5 is good for a 240, 3 inch will be loud and he'll lose torque.

Then again, what do i know? The exhaust on my 240 is 3.74" :D
