eventually im gonna do the 5spd swap when i put a motor in my pos automatic DX with dpfi, but i dunno when the motor will come, i got the pedal assembly off a 4th gen sedan, im just gonna bolt it up and already have it in the car when that time comes,
so ill be riding around with a clutch, in an automatic, pretty rice eh
i already have the leather shifter boot on the shifter.
this should work right? flame away, at least i KNOW what rice is

haha, a buddy of mine did that. He wasn't ready to do his swap yet but had some interior work to do, so put the 5spd pedal assembly in before he finished the swap. Works fine.... funny thing was when he took the car into the alignment shop, the guy went to drive it onto the rack and had no idea what to think.

lol, what you don't like laying under that dash in that comfortable condition
. What makes it worse is when its 100 degrees out, it feels like 150 under that dash.

On the EF it is all one assembly bro. From what Ive seen on the newer models, EG and up, you can just add the clutch pedal.. but don't hold me to it.

yes you are correct, the pedal assembly is all one piece, no need to switch miss and match, just unbolt and bolt back up haha, i got confused

ok im done
took me 3 hours
hardest part was trying to figure out the brain teaser puzzle of getting the thing OUT of the car after it was all the way unbolted
steering column down and everything, i gouged my finger once in the whole process because i took my gloves off for 5 seconds
i had to adjust the brake light sensor in more, and bend the gas pedal cuz i guess it was bent on the doner 5spd assembly when i first put it in, i had about an inch or less of throttle response, and the brakes felt tight
i slowly backed it outta the garage after i finished everything, slowly drove down the alley, took it around the block, punchd it to check throttle response, came back home and everything was good, but i had to adjust the brake sensor twice
also i had to switch out gas pedals because the end of the throttle cable type was different, but that didn't take 2 minutes once i had both assemblys on the work bench,
i had to take out two pieces of air duct to take the pedal assembly out, and put it back in, i havn't put those back in yet since i dont have AC (needs charged) i dont really care)
my head hurts from being upside down and on the floorboard so much, even tho i used a 6" and a 12" extension to NOT be on the floor as much as i could, it didn't happen
when i get the motor all i have to do is drill a hole for the clutch cable and hook it up, that wont take 5minutes
now all i need is a motor
over all it wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, its pretty much unbolt and bolt back up, absolutely nothing custom, untill i hook the clutch cable up
ps. did i mention i have the leather shifter boot on the automatic shifter already
, im ready
