What is the vtec engagement point for an H22a engine??
idk.......5500 seems almost too high....but 4500 kinda seems low when i visualize teh tach.......
i love having the honda outboard marine motor vtec techonology in my car..........

what a ridiculous comment. I think what your trying to say is that it initiates at 5000, but the process of re-adjusting the timing and such doesnt take place for another 500rpm? No

mine engages at 4200, but that's with my vafc...anyways, stock, the iab's open at 4800 and the large cam lobe engages at 5200...but twistedbydezign was right when he said that the stock tach was off...more or less by about 300-500 rpm's usually...i know my stock tach says 8000 when the vafc says 7400...

Thanks for this info. I know that my car sounded kinda werid a little before vtec engages. That is after the IAB's opened.

yes the tach is off the higher you go especially once you get past stock redline. my VAFC reads 7400 when i'm almost to 8000 on my tach.
