whats wrong with my si cluster

i plugged up the si cluster to my ek4 and the gas and temp doesn't read. the mph and rpm works fine. i plugged everything up and even tried out my friend's ex cluster. still nothing. does anybody know why my gas and temp doesn't read? thanks
