Default Oil Sending Unit Threads/block BROKE!! THANK GOD FOR GOLDEN EAGLE OIL PLATE

Well while the motor was out I was going to take off the vtec oil line that was t'd in between the block and the oil sending unit and install the Golden Eagle Vtec oil plate. I unthreaded the fittings from the block, and proceed'd to thread in the oil sending unit and then it all started.

As I got it halfway in I noticed the crack going across the top of the webbing that the threads are in. So I start'd carefully threading it out, and then it happen. BAM the top of the threads broke clean off. damn. So then I though for a sec, WTF can I do? Then I tried threading in the unit into the optional feed port in the GE vtec plate and it was a PERFECT FIT!!!.

That left the plug for that port for me to use to plug up what was left of the threads in the block. But as I thread'd it in the bottom threads broke off!! But there were just enough left for the plug to thread in nice and snug. So in about 10 minutes I went from HOLY **** this sucks, to DAMN I'm glad I got this .
To Golden Eagle
To Lightning Motorsports cause I order'd it from them.

This was my crvtec motor with Golden Eagle sleeves.

PICS:

OLD vtec head oil fittings and the upper and lower broken off peices

The oil sending unit now located in the GE oil block.
