Default installing springs tommorow

alright, so im installing my H&RSprings in the morning, and none of the places around me rent spring compressors....and i *really* dont want to buy one..cause its like 30 bucks..

has anyone gotten away without using one? how so? my friend said something about putting it all together and using a floor jack to compress everything

oh well..i might just suck it up and buy one..and then maybe try to return it

anyone?

Is there an Autozone by you?? You just need to put down a $40 deposit, and you can rent one. You'll get your money back when you return it.

Or if there's a Harbor Freight retail store, you can pick up a spring compressor for about $10.

Id personally find some compressors. Loaded springs can be dangerous.

or......do it the old fashioned tires on both ends way like how i did it with a wrench...turned out fine for me... good luck...

ps...first one's kinda scary cuz you don't know what to expect but after that they should be faster

If you cant find anywhere to rent one, go to a shop and bring all 4 struts with you and your springs and ask one of the techs to swtich them out, just give him a nice tip.
