Ignition timing

Default Ignition timing

I rebuild my mortor now I need to know how to do my Ignition timing and the plastic timing belt cover is not on and there is no maks on my crak pully, Please help me

If you plan to set your timing using a timing light then you must have the bottom timing cover on for it has the pointer and v shape plastic marks on it , your crank pulley has the three timing marks and one single as you know you use the middle of the set of three to set the timing,these marks are pretty hard to see sometimes but they are there(they become more clear with the timing light on and they are on the "lip" of the pulley closest to the plastic timing cover. If you are talking about setting the timing marks on the cam sprocket(s) then see the write ups on doing this.\
