Wassup guys, i just finished putting my head on the other day, got a few little things taken care of are far as gaskets and hoses.

Got the car running and there were a few leaks, from the TB, PVC valve. The car was idling at 1500 after being warmed up. We noticed there were 2 codes being throw, 41 and 23. Now if i'm correct 41 is o2 sensor and 23 is knock sensor. I'm running a GSR with a JDM p30, so i guess both of those codes would be clearned if i ran a p28 because you don't need knock on a chipped p28 and a JDM p30 needs the second o2 sensor in the rear.

So we decided to take the car out and it was misfiring like hell under load. If you babied the car it was fine, and it wouldn't engage vtec. So we get back and we check all the plugs, #1 plug was dark as ****! So we replaced the NGK plugs for some other NGK's and also the spark plug wires. Take it out again and it's still misfiring like before.

I'm confused guys, please help me out. Can it be a bad distributor or can the leak from the TB have something to do with it because i need a new gasket for that.

sorry i forgot to add there's a brand new cap and rotor from acura put in

 

my car backfired real bad like only at high RPMs and it was becuase I didnt have my Map sensor plugged in after that it ran fine and dandy

 

your electrical seems straight then, check the fuel system.

Have you checked the plug wires?

You can try swapping a couple injectors to see if the problem changes cylinders. A dead cylinder shouldn't be to hard to figure out.

 

check your grounds.

 

Swap injectors out and replace that plug again and make sure it's gapped to spec.

why would injectors cause a misfire though?

 

the injectors can cause the misfire too, i just did a gsr swap and it was showing up a misfire code for cylinder #1 and we found out the injector 1 was the problem so now everything now there no more code for it and it runs smooth now

Each cylinder needs three things to run: fuel, compression and spark.
