Default differences between civic and del sol

are most of the parts on a 92-95 civic interchangeable? i've been researching and there doesn't seem to be a lot of parts out for the del sol. and if parts are interchangeable, i have nothing to worry about. my other choice of a car is the 96-00 civic hatch.

92-95 civics and del sols are almost identical except for a del sol is 2 seater. any suspension, engine mod from a civic will 99.9% of the time bolt up to a del sol. 94-01 integras as well. just check the mods in my H-T garage and you'll see how much stuff off of a GSR bolted right up to my del sol.

basicly other then body work, the only thing that is diffrent is the shift linkages and exhaust.

If your doing a swap, you need del Sol VTEC linkages, and for exhaust, well, it blows because no one makes sol exhaust.

hmotorsonline.com will have most everything you need for a swap. Check local exhaust shops for exhaust options. Custom bent exhaust will most likely be your only choice.

Depends on how much money you want to spend on a exhaust, GReddy and Tanabe both make two different model's for Delsol's.

My girlfreind has the older GReddy SP on her sol, and it sounds great.

Since the placement of the shifter is diffrent on the del sol then a civic or an integra, if you use Civic SIR linkages or integra's, then the linkage will hit the subframe. you need to buy the del Sol VTEC linkages (VTEC = dohc b16a3 del sol model, offered from 94-97) I got mine new from honda for about 130ish (cant remember the exact price, but whatever) I would also recomend that you pick up some polyurathane shifter bushings (about $15-20)

HASport is also another awesome place to look for swap parts. Though they do not sell engine swaps outright, they sell just about every part (even freakin' wire harnesses!) you'll need to do a swap.

What size piping does the RS*R Ex-Mag exhaust for the sol come with?

I want one but I don't see where it says the size of the piping.

I have the old RSR, which looks exactly like the one in the pic and it is 61mm. It is a great exhuast, not to loud and does not stand out too much.

So the tip is 61mm. To be more specific, I am going turbo and currently have a 2.25" custom bent system. Is 61mm 2.5" or what would the conversion be? I see KamikazeSol has a turbo sol so it must be good?

It is 1mm shy of 2.5". It it roughly 24.5mm to an inch. Also the exhuast has not been bad for my turbo. It could use 3" for a bit more power, but as oon as I get to the dyno next week I do not think my 300 horse power goal will be effected too much by the exhuast.

damn that RSR looks sweet never heard of one, but it is very tempting since it will look almost like stock... any word if its availble in 2-1/2"? or close to 65mm? I'll be turboing as well and that looks tempting!

JDMers say 2.5 in when its really 2.38in

Ive had 6 RS-R exhausts myself and I've loved them all. Turbo did an article back in the day where they only made 1 more hp dropping the exhaust at the cat then having it on so good power too.

I would highly recommend RS-R
