Like troublecodes asked, are you turbo or N/A? That will make a big difference. The turbo is a huge restriction in the system (in a good way
) and it'll quiet down the exhaust a lot.
If you're N/A, it will be pretty loud, as are most straight through canister designs.

I'd say moderately loud under 50% throtle. Cruising in 5th I can make the exhaust dead silent just by pedal modulation. Under WOT...well, yea its pretty damn loud. I like it alot overall, and the silencer it comes with quiets it down alot for late night's or sneaking over a gf's house.
Btw, I'm running dc jdm 4-1>carsound 2.5" high flow>Apexi N1
It was moderately quieter though when I had the d16.

A'PEXi N1 isn't an axle-back it is a cat back. It's not too loud, I have a few friends with it on their car. They are pleased, it will probably be the exhaust I use on my GSR. Any exhaust can seem loud if it is driven aggressively. If you drive normal and don't rev her like a maniac it will sound acceptable.

EDIT: the link to your ebay apexi exhaust is a knock off; he mentions "style" in his description and the pictures tell the same story. (in case you didnt know)

its not loud at all when compared to when i just had a muffler. the piping made it quiet but when i took out the cat it got super loud but now its quiet again.
Today or tomorrow I'm going to make a video of my exhaust. Everyone constantly asks if it's loud or not, and I do not think it is loud at all. That way everyone will just be able to see for themselves.
Oh, it's loud. Maybe I'm just sensitive in the ears because of the sweet soft tune of my RS*R
And that I hate the loud street cars that roar down my street at 3AM...
