Default Thermal or Apexi N1

I want to know since I have a comptech and don't want it anymore, which exhaust should I buy. I like the Thermal because it is 3" but it is ugly IMO, the N1 looks a lot better to me but it is smaller. Need a little help cause that Comptech is robing my top end hp something fierce. Any ideas for the new turbo guy on the block?

I have an Apexi n1 and it sucks my ******* ****. It's way too loud and ricey IMHO. I'm going with 2.5" Piping and a ES Oval Muffler very very soon.

Dude, if I could find an exhaust (let alone anything else) to suck my pee pee, I wouldn't give a damn how loud it was! lol

If you're worried about excessive noise then I wouldn't go with the Thermal. However, right now it's the only turbo exhaust system that's readily available. You could always wait for the Greddy Power Extreme 2 to come out though.

your n1 probably sounds ricey cause you are runnin NA
i had an N1 on my car and it was pretty nice
i got a thermal now and its not as loud at WOT as the N1 but it has a much lower tone between 1-4k

if you are going turbo get the thermal

My N1 is really nice, eventhough I am still NA, but if I had to do it over again I would go with the Thermal since I will be going FI soon.

Thermal. The bigger the better. Besides, it sounds nice and deep and has a good rumble to it with the turbo.

Order mandrel piping and a muffler form magnaflow and make yout own exhaust. It's cheaper and you have quality control. Any muffler shop can help you out.

Im running a tanabe rm on my turbo b18b, planning on selling it for a thermal. How much louder is the thermal than the rm? I have to make 100 mile trips on the weekends sometimes so the silencer that comes w/ the rm is wonderful. I was thinking about just selling the piping and getting 3'' piping made to connect to the RM muffler cuz I love how it looks and the silencer option.

My choice is the 3" Thermal. It makes great power with a turbo. I don't give a **** about noise, and a cop can suck my ****.

I just put my Thermal 3" Turbo on my car with the Fmax turbo.
It is loud but i am quickly used to it. it is low frequency loud, especially coming off the throttle. it is not that loud on acceleration or at steady throttle.
the performance difference you can actually feel! I will be dyno tuning my car this weekend so we will see. I would definitely recommend the exhaust over the small *** stock.

i had an a'pexi on my dsm, it was nice...for my integra tho i went with the thermal...you think it's ugly??? IT'S FULL STAINLESS and it's SHINY! i think it looks hella tite...my car wasn't loud at all at first but now i have a 3" test pipe and it's kinda loud under full throttle once it switches to VTEC...major diff. when it switches cam profiles...but it sounds good...later.

i have the n1 on my turbo gsr.....other than me bairley being able to hear it its nice.....i am sure i am losing a small bit up top but i am considering getting a custom exhaust and an n1 muffler on it.....i am simply in love with the looks of the n1. it was sooo much nosiyer NA now all u hear is my wastegate dump tube......keep in mind i still have my cat on the car for the mean time.....and its almost so quiet that i would stall the car b\c i was used to a louder more defined exhaust note.

Thermal 3". You can also ask them (Thermal) to weld in a little cone in the pan like in their stealth systems. I had them do it to mine - changes the tone completely & reduces sound a couple of decibels. Quality of system is really nice.

Get a Thermal piping with an Apex N1 can. Then you will have 3"piping and the looks of an N1. IMHO
