Default 02 s2k Bogging down hard (resembles bad Disty)

Just as the title says, it bogs very hard when you go any more than 1/5 throttle, it even idles as if it is misfiring, poor timing or improper fuel.
Open to ideas and suggestions.
Thanks

its your map sensor having a brain fart. just tap it a couple times with the handle of a screwdriver, it should work. don't tap too hard.

those that are having bogging issues that are bad enough to be called misfires, are you really sure they are that bad? I mean, are you saying misfire as in the engine isn't running on all four cylinders? Swing by your dealer and have them check for any codes that may have come and gone. The MAP sensor issue is upon moving from a standstill or stuck in traffic where you are loading the engine from neutral and varying the throttle.

Yeah, unfortunately, i am sure this is sometype of a misfire. I aquired the pdf of the helms for the s2k yesterday eve and am now goinbg to check a few things. I will start with replacing my plugs and tapping on the map sensor.
If that does not work I suppose off the the aftermarket parts and back to the dealer
I need this fixed, just payed all that money for the car and now it runs like junk all the sudden
Thanks for the replies!!

As it all turns out, there were two burnt injectors. And they charged me 169.00 to replace the plugs I just put in 4 days before.

good thing you had it replaced as soon as you did. Otherwise, it could've taken out the engine.

Damn, that sucks. I'm assuming the previous owner did not mention the wreck to you? Isn't that illegal? I would definitely do something about this.. Good luck.

Well, there is no documentation of a wreck, clean carfax and all. It has been rewelded according to honda and the support under the plastic grommits were covered with "bondo dust" according to them. The paint has some lil bits of dirt in it, but nothing horrific, it can be wet sanded and buffed out, it just sucks that I payed what i did for a car that has had previous damage. I bought the car from texas and had it shipped here, so I really did not get to see it before it was payed for.
I guess thats the breaks. It does run great now though.
