Default Give me your honest opinion on these drag slicks are they safe???

Well I have had these for awhile and havent used them in awhile either because of my discovery!! I noticed last year that after a race one day my slicks had these cuts in them or whatever it is. I have some pics of these cuts

So what do yall think? One is worse than the other as you can probably tell and the cuts arent in the same spot on the slicks. On one of them its right on the inside of the slick near the sidewall and on the other its more towards the middle of the slick and that one is actually deeper than the other. So whats up with these things??

I would say that the slick on the left its more of a scratch. and the worst one the slick on the right its no more than a few 32'nds of an inch deep at the worst parts.

Do you know what could be causing the cuts?? I thought that maybe the bands in the tire were trying to separate or something and they do not drag anywhere in my wheelwells.

It would suck pretty bad if one of those let loose on the big end when your doing over a 100mph

Thanks man

they look like they are rubbing something in the wheelwell or you have done a burnout on some gravels that were embedded in the pavement.

Im gonna give them a try again tonight and see what is up with them.
