Default what should i do, b20vtec or turbo?

I have a 95 rs b16 with ls tranny quick fix when my ls motor overheated and crapped out on me. i need help, i cant decide on b20vtec, poor mants itr, or turbo. I'd build the bottem end of the b20 with ls crank, rods, and high comp pistons (would this be able to handle the 8.5k revs?) so, gimmie some feedback please!

I have heard that b20/vtec swaps cause a lot of headaches...so unless your willing to spend countless hours with this swap, I personally wouldn't do it. If you are planning on boosting, I'd do some homework and maybe rethink swapping a b18b back in.

go with a turbo setup. b20vtec does not compare at all.

i've been doing my research... b20/vtec has maaad potential. i saw some numbers in the 240's whp on the dyno. im not planning on turbo. all motor beast!. I plan on using b20 crank (balanced and edged) je 11.5 pistons, (not sure what rods yet), titanium retainers and springs, and if i have enough cash some agressive cams (any suggestions, kinda leaning toward crower 404's). and time isnt an issue, i work at a machine shop and i have a daily driver. so i'd build it at my leisure. oh ya, i've heard the b20 sleeves suck ***** for turbo, anyone know how they hold up on high comp? any other suggestions would help too.

If I were you, I'd sell the B16 with the LS tranny and invest in an H22.

Turbo's are to expensive. I ended up rebuilding my b17 and put in a zex kit.. gives me lots of kick but i somtimes wish i had done the b20vtec instead.

just on the block, over 1400, thats what i have right now and the cash is still flowin i plan on slowly building the block for the next few months, make sure it is PRISTINE. i work at a machine shop so i get a lot of labor free (cuz i can do it myself) but im only 18 with limited knowledge so i gotta have the "pros" help me with the more technical stuff. but i really shouldnt need to spend that much more $$. i budgeted it out on paper (haha, never works out that way but it gives me a ballpark) and i think i can do it for around 2g... this is with a fully built head (i have a b16 head right now) and w/o resleeving i'd like to resleeve but we cant do that at the shop and it woudl be 900 for AEBS to do it. so i figured i'd just run lower compression than desired, about 11.5:1 or so. leave some feedback on what you think! btw, i thought i read a post of your teg getting stolen a while back... my condolences, ****** crooks
