Default Lightening stock flywheel good/bad??

I'm thinking about lightening my stock gsr 18 lb flywheel to around 12.5-13lbs. Is this a good idea and would it work?

i posted the same question about a month ago and that can be debatable. Keep in mind the stock flywheel wasnt designed to be that light originally but i say their shouldnt be a problem as long as your engine is balanced with the lightned flywheel.

i have heard of it working just fine countless times but some people will tell you its a bad idea.

There's nothing wrong with doing it, but for just a bit more you can get a flywheel that weighs much less.

too big of a risk to save about $100
