Default water (I think) coming out of my car.

Okay, this morning I walked out and noticed almost a pudle of what looked like water coming from under the right front corner of my car. I looked under and saw that it was comming out of a hose that looked to be a drain, I followed the hose and saw that is went through the fire wall. What is the drain for, and what is coming out of it? It happened after I drove home from school, about 20 miles. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm thinking the humidity from your interior when the air con is on, but I'm not sure exactly where it drains from.... I haven't looked in a while. Did you have your air conditioning running during that drive?

If your A/C was on while you were driving, I'm pretty sure it's the A/C system. I was wondering the same thing when it happened to me a while back.

yup, I was running my A/C. I was running it with the heat about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up to unfog my windows. Will running the A/C with the heat on hurt anything???

That's how automatic climate control works in other cars.

Yeah, the A/C does create some water that the drain hose will discharge...it looks bad, but it's no big deal.

Try to turn the AC off but leave the fan on hi for at least 5 min before you turn off the car...it wil help prevent that nasty moldy musty smell..
