Default MPH Speedo Tach for Spoon Cluster

I just got the Spoon Cluster and I think it will be good to have the Speedo in MPH instead of KM/H...
any suggestion to get something to put there?(instead of drawing myself or putting some kind of mark there)..?

What does people with JDM Cluster do? keep the KM/H?
I want to make sure I will be at the Speed limit.. (not running 60 KM/H in 60 MPH zone)
funny that I got used to MPH now.. after 7 years driving in the US...

Note: I want something cheap....

Its easy, 100 km/h is 62 MPH. Having KMs instead of miles is kindof the point of having a JDM clucter, isnt it??

Where can I see the Apexi Rev Meter?
Mike, what's the extra features ?

I just realized that SPOON Cluster don't have that Green Key and Maint ReQd light.
can I just plug in the light from the OEM and will it work?

Edit: The main reason for me getting the Cluster is because of the REV tach, not Speedo. I think it will be easier to see the 8400 RPM mark on a 11K rev tach.
I tend to shift way before 8400 RPM.

Ha ha, this cracks me up.

Spoon cluster = JDM = KM/Hr.

If you wanted MPH should have stuck with the stock cluster, now you'll hack a JDM cluster for MPH??

Actually that's the old Rev Speed Meter. They have a new one that looks kind of like a V-AFC. Has some cool gadgets on it.

Just filling in some info about the new RSM...taken from Takakaira...

G-sensor measures vehicle's acceleration & calculates vehicle's engine power! " REVSPEED METER GP " New ID design! State of the art colorful numeric indication display of vehicle's speed from REVSPEED. It is the latest METER to own, with new ID design, to display vehicle's speed & acceleration figures. With the optional G-sensor (sold separately), the REVSPEED METER GP can also calculate & display vehicle's engine power.

The large display monitor utilizes the high brightness of VFD
The REVSPEED METER GP's dot matrix display adopts the highly succesful, high brightness blue VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) from the popular AVC-R & S-AFC products. This display allows various mode of information to be displayed simultaneously, e.g. numerical, graphical, and analog representations. All information are displayed accurately, and clearly.

Delivered in a slim casing & with a single navigation-rocker button.
Product size is at a slim 52 mm x 126 mm x 18 mm, and can be mounted anywhere in a vehicle cockpit. In addition, multiple function buttons are eliminated with the incorporation of a single navigational rocker & push button, providing ease of use, and with simple operation.

Measurement-indicatory and memory functions
Measures a vehicle's engine RPM, speed, and distance traveled. In addition, it displays battery voltage (in real time) in three different modes: numerical, analog, and graphical. Peak values are also displayed in all three above-mentioned modes, and playback can be displayed graphically. It can measure the speed acheived & the time elapsed in 0-100m. 0-200m, 0-400m runs, and vice versa, it can measure the time elapsed for 0-100km/h, 0-200km/h, & 0-300km/h. In addition, with time taken to acheive a vehicle's top speed, intermediate acceleration can be measured. It records & stores the 5 best values of each function. Turning the power off will erased all values recorded if not stored in memory. (Stop watch readings are erased when power is turned off)
With battery is removed, initial settings in memory are not erased.
Initial settings in the EEPROM will not eliminated when the battery power is removed. Removal of battery will also will not eliminate the best 5 values stored. With the EEPROM, removal of a vehicle's battery will not eliminate any information stored in memory, and this ensures that initial settings are not required to be re-set.

Engine RPM output is according to the vehicle speed which is read off the external ON/OFF relay response output function. When setting RPM function, the output switch is loaded once it reads engine speed. For example, with readings from vehicle speed, or it calculates & display RPM depending on vehicle's gearing. The RPM reading can be set to activate a shift point indicator light, and also, to activate a scramble switch of a boost controller.
The speed limiter cancellation fuction is applicable to a many vehicl models.
>It is applicable to newly released HONDA models with automatic transmissions, and to TOYOTA models where speed cancellation is difficult to over come.
Acceleration & Power measurements are possible with the optional G-Sensor. Acceleration can be measured with the optional G-Sensor which is sold separately. It also works on 4WD vehicles. It has a replay function. If this is used, it is able to verify the change in acceleration during track runs, and replay the figures after each run. With input settings of a vehicle gross weight & rolling resistance, actual horsepower can be calculated using vehicle speed. With these functions on the G-Sensor, engine tuning will result in accurate horsepower readings.

Since i've installed the jdm cluster in my civic i've just memorized (like everything else) the conversion.

10km = 6.25mph (roughly) or 1.6km in a 1 mile
20km = 12.5mph
30km = 18.75mph
100km=62.5mph
so on and so for . . . .

Yeah its nice but Its in Km/H kind of defeats the idea of why he would want the RSM Thats why i suggested the older style, also the older style has amber illumination which matches the ITR's

Aah.. Thanks Mike for the Help! You're awesome..

as for me wanting MPH in Spoon Cluster.. YES, I am retarded....
but It's been a while since I drive in KM/H and I want to make sure I know exactly how fast I am running in accordance to the Speed limit.

My Temporary solution: get a White Sticker number and put it where the 25,55,85 MPH is.. so at least that's gonna help a bit.

again, the reason I get Spoon Cluster is because of the Tach goes to 11K, easier to see the 8400 line. I don't even know there is something like ApeXi Rev Meter before.. or else I would've stay with the Stock Cluster..
At least I didn't put a fuggin Poll to decide whether I am going to buy the Spoon cluster or not, right?

Also, you can have a Head Up Display unit that reflect off your winshield. I have one from Defi and I loved it, I don't have to look down any more to see the speed.
The modes are KM/H, Miles/H, RPM(corrected, unlike ours tach)...etc.

The drawback is.....not too bright during the day, but I am sure there are ways around that. (ie, home made darker reflection screen)

And the new version II:

Check out the Sport Version that caculates your 0-400m and other neat stuff

spoon cluster lights up amber, at least it does for the ek. You're right on about the tach, one reason why I had gotten one, it's very accurate.
