Clutch replacement -- Flywheel resufacing needed?
Someone just told me that when you replace a clutch you should resurface the flywheel. Is this true? If so, why? I have changed a clutch before but did not resurface the fly, but I dont know the end result as I sold it a few weeks later. Seemed fine for that time, however.

wow I was a NOOB when I made that thread! You resurface the flywheel so that you have 2 perfectly flat surfaces so that you dont cause uneven wear in the clutch. If you don't the clutch will chatter at best, slip a ton at worst.
