Default Pressure drop on a Geeser Turbo

I have a 97 GSR with Greddy Turbo. With the boost at 8 pounds everything is fine. But at 10 pounds the boost drops gradually from 10psi at 4000 rpm to 8psi at 8000 rpm.

Two things might explain that problem.

1- tiny 2" downpipe with 2.25" exhaust. (cat removed)

OR

2- Too much overlap... -i'm still using the stock cam gears

Wich one of these 2 choices can cause my problem? maybe both? or something else?

your engine effeciency may be the cause of your problem
valve overlap is out of the question
have you tried re-installing the cat?
that "greedy" kit was designed for cat use
you may be lossing too much back pressure
good luck

by the way contact "GREEDY"
that turbo is internally/integrally regulated
the waste gate may be set for less than 10 psi
