SiR 1 vs SiR 2 oil cooler
Hey,
a buddy of mine bought two B16s (an SiR I and an SiR II). The SiR 1 had an oil cooler, but the SiR 2 did not. Anyone know anything about this?
For the record the oil filter stud screws out of the Ls block and you can thread an oil cooler in there. Just use a vice grip with a good grip and turn. It'll come out.

correct, honda got a little cheaper and took the oil cooler off in 92+
like the 90-91 b16's had them... the 94-95 GSR's had them
then 96+ GSR no longer has them
ALL type R's have them
all dohc VTEC B series engines have the hole threaded... on a LS or B20 the casting mark is there but you need to drill and tap.

he just said that the ls stud IS threaded.
I was there, the stud threaded right out of an LS block.
am I missing something?
