Antenna Delete Panel
I have removed the stereo system from the CRX (second gen), I want to order the blank plastic plate that fills the antenna hole on the roof so I can remove the antenna. I have gone to the local dealer and we did a serious search and could not find this part in their system. I was wanting to know if any of you out there have a part number I can give them to help in the search?
I did a search and could not find anything.
Thanks,
Eric

damn, mighty mouse beat me to it..... it is listed under 88 honda crx hf. tell the guy to look under "speaker seal bracket" and the pic will come up.
Ah, I can't knock the guy too bad. He sat there and searched with me standing there for about 20 min. It was definitely not in the spots you would expect it too be.
Thanks though.

It's listed the same for all 88-91 CRX as well as all 88-91 Civic. If he was a good parts man, on his down time he would go through the system and just point and click to familiarize, just for little instances like this. Honda puts stuff in straaaaange places.
Jim - who pictured the exact spot and location this part was in and thought "speaker seal bracket" as soon as I read the title and knew you needed the base, the plate and two screws all sold separately.
Thanks though.

You guys are just too pimpy.
I just pulled the antenna out of the holder, rolled up a ball of the good old tar-like seam sealer, and stuffed it in the hole. Hasn't leaked for a year and a half.

IIRC there is a rubber plug for the antenna hole.

No technically to be legal in SP, you have to have the block off plates if the items are removed.

Same with me in Stock class. I had to go order the stuff for my first gen to be "legal" (also have to remove it all..cant take the radio without the antenna..etc)

Not necessarily. Radios are specifically listed as comfort and convenience items not bound by the Stock Category restrictions which carry into SP. A protest committee might disagree, but having been on a few...... In any case, stuff like relocated windshield washer bottles because that's where the updated because onthe same line power steering pump goes has historically only netted a slap on the wrist. But, better to be **** than shat on!
When I built my ratty tatty EP car, I went to the trouble of cutting a nice piece of aluminum, and used the original antenna gasket and screws to hold it down. Still looks pretty spiffy 9 years later.

I thought with the new radio delete rule, that you had to cover the radio opening. I may be mistaken, but it is not a big deal. I want to cover it anyway.
wahat a coincidence, I just shelled out $21 for a blockoff plate for my stereo and antenna yesterday.
In STS2 you want the car to be weenie-protest-proof!
Plus its a good excuse to create some crazy removable-stereo-and-speakers-in-a-box-with-a-handle contraption... oh, wait, dont they have those at wal-mart?

Wish you had said something, I have an extra radio plate I could have brought to SASCA's event on Sunday.
