Default Why forced induction is better then NA.

Im doing an 'persuasive essay' for english.

I have chosen to do my topic on 'forced induction is superior to a N/A engine build'

I need 3 main points WHY its better.

Heres what i got so far.

1. Turbo's can make more power
2. The power of a Turbo motor can be changed for the driving conditions
3. I 'think' you have better traction control with high HP from a turbo then a N/A.

Im am not here to argue why they are better or whatever, i just need some good points why there better, i know theres pro's and con's. Lets just think of the pro's right now .

I would like to get some information to help back up my points. If anyone on here who has built a 10 or 11 second turbo motor could please input their information, it would also help if the car was sponcered or someone who owned a company gave a good quote like "i will always turbo a motor instead of doing a NA build" so i can use the quote in my essay.

Thanks!

How about a real Response??

Turbos reuse the exhaust gases wasted by the motor in order to create more efficient engine utilization.

This is what I was going to say...

Plus, because of the added oxygen mixing with the gasoline you get better combustion.

Just check out garrett's web site and look up turbo info on howstuffworks.com, they make plenty of good arguments about why turbos are cool

Sounds to me like you don't know enough about turbos to write an essay about them. Look up Volumetric Efficiency, that will give you some material to write about.

As far as the science behind a turbo, No i dont know much about them at all.

Its a 2 pg 5 paragrah essay double spaced. not long.

I learned a bunch from that howitworks.com site.

Its a gr11 english teacher, not a professor at a university.

If you want to be 100% accurate scratch off #3 and think of another benefit, because that ain't right mo'flower.

Because if you took a N/A motor that made the same amount of HP as a turbo motor, you would see that the turbo motor gets better gas mileage under normal driving conditions

Just dont tell them that the N/A motor gets better gas mileage when your foot hits the floor. (BSFC)

heh, how many people can make 400+hp and still get 30+mpg? (if you dont drive like a maniac)
