Turn key to "on" position but wont crank!!??
Hi, i just bought a 93 ex. when i go to turn the car on, the power comes on in the car when it is in the "on" position. but when i turn the ignition, the car doesnt even crank or click. i have to start the car by touching the solenoid on the starter and the positive terminal on the battery at the same time. does anyone know if this is anything "starter" or "ignition" related? if so , please get back to me thanks.

the main relay does not a part of the starting system... or more accurately speaking, the starter does not use the main relay...
had the same thing happen to me. It was my alarm though...it was in kill starter mode. Had to pop the hood put a wire to the starter then touch the battery to start.

The main relay has nothing to do with the starter. It only provides power to the ECU and fuel pump.
