Default Wont start with key, only by jumping starter

so ive had an intermittent issue with my car that seems to have finally crapped out entirely,

my Gf took my car once and she got done shopping, went to start the car, and only dash lights would come on, so i jumped the starter to the battery with a wire to see if it would start and Voila.... engine turns over, we get it back to my shop, a buddy tells me "turn the key on, turn the radio on, then turn the key off and then try to crank it on" Coincidentally, the car cranked on.......... (yes i know this didnt solve anything)

but the last few weeks, i went to turn the key, and the starter would not turn over, take the key out, put it back in, and it would turn over, Did this a few times until last night, It has not fired back up from turning the key since, i can go manually start it with a piece of wire and it will fire right up

Ive been reading that the possibilities are, Main Relay, Ignition Switch, Ground....... But i read a thread where someone said "If you can jump the starter with the battery, im quite sure its your ignition"

Could be the clutch interlock switch. It detects when the clutch pedal is all the way down. If it goes out the car thinks that the clutch isint depressed and wont engage the starter. Im currently having that issue. Either replace the switch, or bypass it. Test first by unplugging it and use a short piece of wire or a paperclip to jump it. Its located under the dash, bolted to the clutch pedal assembly. A little automotive Yoga, and its not TOO hard to get to.

found that a Relay from an old security system was not letting the starter get signal from the ignition switch, Wasnt until i removed every bit of electrical tape that i realized what was going on with the wiring, pulled all that old crap out, and it fires up nicely now
