Default new motor break in?

k well i got my new motor in, ls/vtec. we finish up, the car starts, no cels, so the guy who biult the motor takes her out for a spin. first thing he does is bang first and second, all the way up to 8500 rpm. trips a cel light, code 1, 02 senser. no the car is somking hard core oil, a quart and half low in 100 miles. she bogs, falls on her face and is barely drivable. is what the guy did to break it in killed my motor? smokes horriably.

it seems that someone who would do that to break it in, doesn't know anything and probably built it wrong too. sorry man. Hope he refunds you.

what is the best way to break in your motor?? i heard when you put new rings in and and not beat on it it doesnt force the rings open and then it just wears out the hoaning in the block then the rings will never seat.. my friend did the same thing to his car as this guy did and his runs strong as hell and doesnt burn any oil but he also let it sit at 2 grand for like 20 mins before he beat the **** out of it ..what is the fastest way to break in a motor?
