Default What manifolds do people run on F-Series, and other q's

I tried searching, but couldnt come up with much. I read a few things that just left me with more questions, heh.

I'm looking to pick up a 95 Accord EX this coming weekend, but before I do I had a few questions to make sure I can acomplish my power goals. My knowledge of cars is pretty decent, I have a swap under my belt and spend a lot of time fixing cars, however my knowledge specific to accords is pretty limited. Anyhow, onto the questions:

1. What turbo manifolds are people running? I read something about using a 1g dsm mani?

2. What size snails are people running to start making boost around 2.8 and holding it all the way to redline? I figure an 18g, or a small t3 or something similiar would be pretty decent, concidering the high displacement, low redline of the accord.

3. What are people doing about fuel managment? Hondata's site says you need to convert to obd1 on a 90-95 f22, but I have always thought those to be obd1 anyway? What do you do to run hondata, and why doesnt it run with vtec? What other things are people doing? I have seen a few people say they are using the greddy emanage, but I am not sure what in all that controls?

4. How many HP is the engine good for on fully stock internals generally speaking? I am hoping for around 230whp or so. I figure on an 18g, itll take about 9psi to get there.

5. What clutch do people makingg decent power run? Clutch masters stage 3 is incredibly expensive for this car.

6. Are there any accord specific problems you guys tend to run into?

Thank you much!

1) I'm building mine with a drag gen III I bought from someone on htech. Look to South Florida Performance if you want custom (as well as any accomplished welder with an accord or prelude at their disposal)

2) I'm tossed up between a t3/60-1 and a t3/t04e 57trim.

3) Gonna use ubardate on a P05 converted to P06 (mines an f22b2 - non vtec). If it's already obd1, no need to convert, although you do need to swap a couple wires at the ECU (EGR and something else - forget off hand - look at hondata's site for explanation)

4) I would think 230 would be possible on stock bottem end. I'm running Eagle rods with CP pistons. Looking for 300hp as initial goal.

5) I'm probably going to buy a ACtion clutch 1md - still researching though

6) None yet - still building engine though..

1G DSM manifold is the junkyad way to do it. a lota ppl run drag. SFP, or csutom made log manifodls( i make one, as well as maxrev, lovefab, CRPturbo, adn amny other people on the boards)

2. What size snails are people running to start making boost around 2.8 and holding it all the way to redline? I figure an 18g, or a small t3 or something similiar would be pretty decent, concidering the high displacement, low redline of the accord.

on an accord prob go with a .50 trim t3t4 with . 48 turbine.

accordfreak ran 1 bar on his set up and netted 265 whp and liek 280 torque i believe.

check out hyperclutch frmo camp1320. goo price and great performance

yeah what project dc2 said..

I made 269whp / 281wtq with a huge boost leak. I believe i would have made past 300hp if i found out about the leak sooner...

stock motor. t3/t04e, hondata s200 w/ 550cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, and paxton FPR. no problems whatsoever until my car was totalled....

my clutchmaster stage 4 with CM flywheel worked great. grabs hard with a close to stock pedal feel.

DSMs manis will NOT fit f22b only f22a. have project dc2 make you one for your f22b. he makes quality manifolds for a great price. i've seen it in person.

here was my setup....

Thanks for the replies!

TwkdCD, what snail are you using and how many psi are you running? Your pic does not work.

I guess try the link, and let me know if that works... damn yahoo. (which I dont think it does)

anyways... wastegate is a 6.5 psi... 9-10 with a boost controller coming. t3/60-1... the old bandwagon unit I still like for now.
