premature fuel-cut at 8650rpm!!! heeeelllpp!!!
Can anyone tell me why my car fuel-cuts at 8650rpm now. I just couldn't get it past 8650rpm. It used to be easy to get it up to 9000rpm. Please analyse my car set-up below and tell me what's happened???
I'm very sad now.
I'm very sad now.
The rpm was displayed by my VAFC readings when I hold the highest point. So it isn't the tacho reading, its the actual ecu reading.
What oil? Engine oil? Why? I've just changed to Honda Vtec oil about 2500km ago.
Please help!!!

So you're registering 8650rpm on the V-AFC. What's it registering on the stock tach? Maybe for some odd reason, it is your VAFC that's off.
My tacho & vafc both reads the same readings. I don't think it is a display inaccuracy. BTW, Honda Vtec oil is the oil recommended by Honda. Supposedly lighter to rev.

Have you tried reset your ECU? I would try that and see if that helps any could some crazy glitch in the ECU or something I had reprogrammed CRX ECU recently do something similar until I reset it. I'm not sure what else it could be if your using the proper fuilds in the engine and allowing it to warm up before engaging vtec unless it's something electronic or maybe in the engine it self.. But I'd try resetting the ECU first.
Is it the real Spoon ECU or just some copy chip of it? If it is the real one, I would call up whoever you brought the ECU from and ask for some technical help. I am sure those Spoon dealer out there would love to help you out.
