Hello I have a 1995 GSR, recently I was changing the oil and happened to look at the wiring and saw that the heat shrink tubing that goes over the wiring had burned away in one spot due to my aftermarket header, (cylinder #1 primary)
The wires belong to the a/c cooling fan and run along one of its support arms with a small black tab holding it on to the fan and then it routes into its connector.
I have tried routing it away from the header and within 10 minutes it will burn off, and melt the black plastic tubing that I have put around it.
My question is.... why would it now begin to burn? The header has been on for at least 15,000 miles and has had no trouble. All of a sudden it decides to start burning the wires now? I have just moved into a colder climate than I was previously....so that shouldnt be a factor.
